    How can I
    help you?

Having had the privilege of working at one of Australia's leading digital agencies for the past five years, I have a broad depth of professional experience to draw upon. In my role as Art Director at Mettro I had the opportunity to work with a variety of high profile national and global clients. As such creative flair and excellent design standards were required on a day to day basis. Similarly the ability work in partnership with creative and technical teams to tight deadlines and budget restrictions to ensure the execution of stunning digital outcomes was essential.

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: (while working at mettro)

    • 2012 AIMIA awards – finalists in 5 categories
    • 2011 Web Marketing Association Award
    • Art direction and design for the SIDS and Kids iPhone app and digital marketing campaign that helped generate almost 18,000 user uploads to the microsite gallery. The magnificent success of the campaign led to sponsorship by Renault Australia shortly after the project was launched.
    • Art direction, design and promotional video for the online application myWorld Atlas. The client's first year sales targets were 2,000. By the end of the first year over 13,500 sales had been recorded, exceeding the clients targets by 675%.

    The Box of old
    Drafting Pens

One of the fondest memories of my childhood is sitting at a table beside my dad while he worked on his architectural drawings. To keep me occupied he'd pull out a box of old drafting pens and colouring pencils and invites me to draw along side him. The realisation that I had free reign to defile the pristine white surface that belonged to the back of his discarded drawings was thrilling. My hands couldn't reach fast enough into the box of old pencils to find the next colour I would use.
Fast-forward over two and a half decades later, and that same thrill of creating something completely new is what I still draw upon with every single design problem I undertake. The constant need to chase my next creative fix is what drives me to continually seek out inspiring and meaningful design solutions.

    through action

For a creative individual, inspiration is something that comes very easily. In fact, when you're perceptive to it inspiration is something you can find almost anywhere. Be it the typography on the back of a cereal box, the graffiti scattered along the train line, or that blog you stumbled upon one day by accident. Literally inspiration is something that can be found anywhere and everywhere.
Action on the other hand is something quite the opposite. Action requires discipline, enthusiasm, confidence and decisiveness. Action is about getting things done. For the creative individual it is about taking an idea and turning it into reality. Without action no amount of inspiration can turn an idea into reality. On a personal level the ability to act on an idea is something I regard highly. To the right are a number of books that I have found particularly inspiring and insightful.

Making Ideas Happen, Scott Belsky and It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be, Paul Arden.
